Honda & Toyota Fuel Cell Cars By 2015

Honda and Toyota four wheeler manufacturers will be launching their fuel cell vehicles. These vehicles will be production ready and will be available from 2015.

Each of the Japanese manufacturer will be manufacturing 1,000 units of their environmentally friendly cars in the first year.

They currently offer fuel cell cars on lease basis to municipalities and businesses in Japan.

These eco-friendly cars will cost little less than 10 million Yen. They can make up more ground than electric cars.

Honda is aiming to deliver a sedan type car early in November 2015 itself. It claims it will be able to cover a distance of 500 kms, on a full charge. Doubling the contemporary electric vehicle range available today.

The sad part is these cars won't be offered in India. It will be available only in Japan, US and Europe. Honda aims to produce 5,000 cars over a span of five years.

The leader of hybrid vehicles Toyota, plans to achieve 10,000 cars by the end of 2020. They too will offer their vehicles in Japan, US and Europe.

Toyota too will be manufacturing a sedan style fuel cell car for 2015. They will decrease their vehicle price by 3 to 5 million Yen by 2020.

It would be great if these cars are at least offered in India as we too need to conserve our environment.
