Honda Launches Sporty Mobilio RS In Indonesia
The yet-to-launch Honda Mobilio is doing very well in Indonesia. The Japanese carmaker has so far racked up sales of over 35,000 units of the Brio-based people mover. Going by this impressive response from buyers, they have added another variant called the RS to their Mobilio variant line up.
The Mobilio RS will be available in either manual or CVT transmission form and features a number of cosmetic upgrades over the lower variants. The new car sees aggressive styling, with a new bumper, a new grille, and new headlamps with LED daytime runners. The new car also gets a full bodykit with roof spoiler, black interiors, improved sound system, and more.
It is priced at IDR 214 million (approx. INR 10,76,000) for the CVT transmission, and IDR 203.5 million (approx. INR 10,23,000) for the 5-speed manual transmission.

While the Mobilio has still not reached Indian shores, it is interesting to see that Indonesia has already gotten an upgrade for the Mobilio. A similar version might do well in the country if Honda doesn't place too high a premium for a similar sort of package. India is used to seeing cars receive mid-life limited-edition variants and models that feature cosmetic upgrades, so we hope this sporty version of the Mobilio is eventually launched here too.
