Honda City Diesel Price & City Petrol Price Announced

Honda City sedan has been formally launched in Delhi, with the announcement of the prices. The highly anticipated City diesel price starts at INR 8.62 lakhs and the City petrol price starts at INR 7.42 lakhs. Lastly, the starting price of Honda City automatic is INR 9.49 lakhs.

Honda unveiled the new City sedan in November last year. The new City comes with a petrol engine from the Amaze and a new 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine. Live with the Amaze, Honda brought in the ‘wow' element in the City diesel, which is currently the most fuel efficient unit in India.

The 1.5 liter diesel unit comes provides 100 PS power and 200 Nm of torque. Unlike the Amaze, however, the City diesel gets a 6 speed manual transmission in place of the 5 speed unit. This enables the engine to deliver an ARAI certified mileage of 26 kmpl, which is under standard conditions.

The other unit is the 119 PS power and 145 Nm of torque producing 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine. This powerplant, mated to a 5 speed manual transmission delivers 17.8 kmpl and 18 kmpl coupled with a CVT transmission.
