Honda City Diesel & Petrol Mumbai Prices Announced

Followed by its launch in the capital city of New Delhi, Honda today launched the City sedan in Mumbai in an event presided over by Mr. Raman Kumar Sharma, SVP & Director, Mr. Hironori Kanayama, President & CEO, Mr. Shigeru Yamazaki SVP & Director Marketing & Sales and Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, SVP Marketing & Sales Honda Cars India Ltd.

Honda City is available for a starting price of INR 7.42 lakhs for the petrol manual variant and INR 8.62 lakhs for the diesel manual variant. The CVT variant starts at INR 9.49 lakhs.

The new City comes with a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine, the same one that's found in the Amaze and a new 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine. Like with the Amaze, Honda brought in the ‘wow' element in the City diesel, which is currently the most fuel efficient unit in India.

The 1.5 liter diesel unit provides 100 PS power and 200 Nm of torque. Unlike the Amaze, however, the City diesel gets a 6 speed manual transmission in place of the 5 speed unit. This enables the engine to deliver an ARAI certified mileage of 26 kmpl under standard conditions.

The petrol engine is rated at 119 PS power and 145 Nm of torque. This powerplant is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission or a CVT transmission, delivering 17.8 kmpl and 18 kmpl mileage respectively.

The CVT gearbox is a 7 step unit and offers paddle shift option which can be operated in both D and S mode, giving the driver the feel of a manual transmission vehicle.

Colours:
2014 Honda City is available in the following colours: Golden Brown Metallic (New and exclusive), Carnelian Red Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl and Taffeta White.
