Honda Amaze Records Sales Of 88,000 Units
Honda Cars India Limited revealed that it has seen highly impressive sales of the Amaze since its launch last April. The Japanese carmaker sold 88,000 units of the sub-four-meter car, reported Autocar India.
Honda finally entered the diesel car segment with the launch of the Amaze with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine, and quickly captured a large chunk of the market. The Amaze is also available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, the same one doing duty in the Brio.
On the success of the Honda Amaze, the company's Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales said, "Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold."
Honda saw 17.81 percent growth as compared to the same month last year, with overall sales of 13,362 units compared with 11,342 units last year. The Amaze solely accounted for 7,218 units of company sales in May.
