Formula One 2014 Bahrain GP Result
This Sunday witnessed the third round of Formula One at Bahrain. The Gran Prix was packed with surprises and a battle to the finish line by Petronas AMG Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
The Mercedes duo dominated the proceedings at Bahrain GP as it is witnessed so far the Mercedes powered cars have a clear advantage over the other manufacturers. We cannot deny credit to the drivers though and they made the race interesting between themselves.

The race was further made interesting with a first corner collision between Pastor Maldonado of Lotus and Esteban Guitierrez. The collision sent his car in the air and almost landed upside down. Lotus driver was handed a race stop-go penalty followed by a grid penalty for the next race of five places.
The AMG Mercedes duo fought hard till the end of the race. Lewis Hamilton was pressured tremendously by Nico Rosberg; however, the Brit overcame every obstacle thrown at him by his German team mate. Hamilton emerged victorious and is eleven points adrift his team mate.

It was a great day for Indian owned team Sahara Force India, who finished on the podium with Sergio Perez. Team mate Nico Hulken Berg wasn't far behind and impressed the team by securing fifth position.
Current multiple World Champion Sebastian Vettel had a rather mixed day with his teammate ending the race in fourth position. The German ace driver struggled and could manage sixth position and importantly secured points.
It was a great day for the Mercedes powered Williams with both drivers finishing in the points tally. Felipe Massa and teammate Valterri Bottas secured seventh and eighth position respectively.

The Scuderia Ferrari team struggled with race pace and would love to forget their woes. Both Kimi and Alonso reported improvements; however, they are way off in terms of pace and stated their cars lacked in every department. They are optimistic about the European rounds though.
Fernando Alonso could manage just ninth fastest, while his Finn teammate Kimi Raikkonen finished in the final spot for points in tenth position a disaster.
McLaren Mercedes duo were having a great race; however, both Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen had mechanical problems with their clutch and had to retire in the 55th and 40th lap respectively. Reliability is still a major issue for most manufacturers.
The next GP is scheduled to be held in China on 20th of April. We will be providing you with news, highlight and much more.
