Formula E Race Car Las Vegas Public Debut Date Announced
FIA Formula E Championship, the first ever all-electric racing series, is all set to start from September 2014 now that all ten teams have been signed and the racing venues finalized. But before the racing series starts, the organizers have decided to give the public their first ever look at the Formula E race car.

The public debut of the Formula E car, called Spark-Renault SRT_01E, will take place in Las Vegas on the 6th of this month. The special event, that will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, will be attended by invited guests, the media and public. Former Formula 1 driver Lucas di Grassi will be the one demonstrating the all-electric race car in public for the first time.
The public debut will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas that starts from January 7th. Following is the video of the Formula E race car being tested earlier in 2013.

The Spark-Renault SRT_01E is a race car that's the result of work done by several companies working together. To be designed and built by Spark Racing Technologies, the car's chassis was developed by Dallara, while Williams and McLaren Engineering developed by battery and powertrain & electronics respectively. System integration will be handled by Renault and tyres will be supplied by Michelin.
Alejandro Agag, CEO of series promoters Formula E Holdings, said: "It's going to be a fantastic spectacle and a great way for us to start the New Year in a very positive way. 2014 is, of course, a very big year for Formula E with the championship starting in Beijing in September. Before then we want to showcase this amazing fully-electric car to as many people as possible so they can see, and hear, what to look forward to."
Teams that will be participating in the inaugural season of FIA Formula E Championship are Venturi Grand Prix, Virgin Racing, Drayson Racing, e.dams, ABT Sportsline, Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing, China Racing, Super Aguri and India's very own Mahindra Racing.
