Ford Launches Fiesta With EcoBoost Engine
Ford offers their Fiesta with a 1.5-litre engine, however, with their revolutionary EcoBoost engine, it was a definite match in the light hatchback. The American company has officially launched the Fiesta hatchback in Malaysia with an EcoBoost engine.
In India we currently only have the sedan style car, we hope that Ford will offer the new Fiesta with the EcoBoost engine in India too. It will be a great option to choose from.
The Fiesta is powered by Ford's revolutionary engine the 998cc EcoBoost engine better known as the 1.0-litre. It has 3-cylinders with a turbocharger, which produces 170 Nm of peak torque along with 125PS. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox, there will be no manual option.
The EcoBoost engine by Ford is manufactured in their Romanian facility at Craiova. The engine has won the title of the International Engine of the Year for two years now.
Ford have priced their EcoBoost Fiesta in Malaysia at RM 93,888, which translates to INR 17,29,925. It sounds expensive when converted, if Ford get this engine to India, they could price it close to their EcoSport.
The EcoBoost Fiesta hatchback receives three new colors True Red, Arctic White and Black. The black color fiesta also gets special livery that emphasises the EcoBoost badging.
