Ford India Continues Its Steady Growth
The month begins with all manufacturers declaring either a profit or loss. Ford India is no different and have shared they have increased domestic sales and exports by 24 percent. When compared to July of 2013 were they sold 12,338 units. In July, 2014 the American manufacturer sold 15,282 units.
Ford India reported that its export market grew as they sold 7,690 units compared to 4,471 a year prior. In India they managed to sell 7,592 vehicles in July, 2014. However, in July, 2014 the American automobile manufacturer sold 7,867 vehicles.

Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, expressed, "There are several indicators to suggest a gradual revival in customer sentiment in the past few months, including cues from the stock market and a steady improvement in manufacturing index."

He further added, "As we approach the festive season, we expect a significant increase in footfalls at Ford showrooms across the country. We have improved supplies to expedite deliveries for all our models, including the bestselling EcoSport, to meet the expected rise in demand in the coming months."

Ford India has recently inaugurated its fourth Parts Distribution Centre in India. This proves the American based manufacturer is keen and focussed on the Indian market. They have also introduced additional regional parts warehouse in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
An ‘Innovate Mobility Challenge' has been organised by Ford. It is set to take place in eight different locations from July onwards. Individual's can use Ford's Open XC program and create mobile apps that help in road situations. There are specific challenges for each city. Ford executives and local experts will judge the winner of each city.
