Indian Rubber Meet In Kochi
Today marks the beginning of Indian Rubber Meet, this is the first edition.
The event will be held on an annual basis, 'Indian Rubber : New Horizons', is their motto. They plan to discuss new ways to expand the Indian Rubber Industry.

Presiding and opening the meet are Vikram Shreekant Kirloskar, President of the Society of
Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Vice chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd.
The members will discuss various aspects related to Rubber like global rubber industry outlook, Indian rubber scenario, economic outlook, global Natural Rubber scenario, Chinese rubber industry, synthetic rubber developments, automobile industry and tyre legislation.
Internationally acclaimed experts, in-field specialists and major representatives from the industry will be speaking at the event.
The speakers called are Sunny Varghese, Group Managing Director and CEO Olam International, Singapore Sunny Song, Director China Rubber Industry Association, Beijing, Fazilet Cinaralp, Secretary General European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers Association, Dr Stephen Evans, Secretary General International Rubber Study Group, Singapore.
Discussion on 'Present and near term global scenario of NR producing countries', will include countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, China and Sri Lanka.
Discussion will include Indian Rubber Scenario based on perspective of stakeholders. Also different aspects of rubber industry like rubber growers, processors, traders, synthetic and reclaimed rubber producers, tyre and non tyre product manufacturers.
