Fiat To Launch Punto Evo On 5th August

Fiat India is committed to introducing and strengthening its product portfolio in the Indian market. The Italian manufacturers plan was to introduce new vehicles along with refreshed variants of their current lineup. They will be now launching the refreshed version of its Punto hatchback.

The Italian manufacturer has re-christened its Punto hatchback as the 'Punto Evo'. The new model is set to be launched on 5th of August, 2014. The hatchback will get a new design along with more premium interiors and features within the cabin.

We can confirm Fiat will not be introducing any significant changes to the motor of Punto Evo. The Italian manufacturer will offer similar engines to the previous generation hatchback. It will be available with a 1.3-litre diesel engine along with two petrol engines a 1.4-litre and a 1.2-litre.

Fiat will continue offering its diesel mill in two optional engine tunes. The first will be a more conservative 76PS mill, while the second will be its popular 90 horsepower model. They will offer the larger 1.4-litre petrol engine only in its Emotion variant.

The Italian manufacturer will add significantly more chrome embellishments to its Punto Evo. The ride height is also been increased for improved road visibility. Fiat has said it will also improve the ground clearance of its 2014 hatchback significantly.

The interior of Fiat Punto Evo will be available in black with white soft touch and a more sporty looking all black. However, the all black interior has been reserved for the 90 HP model. It gets climate control, rear AC vent, steering mounted audio controls and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Punto Evo is expected to be priced close to its predecessor, however, the top of the range will surely attract a premium price tag. Stay tuned for our first impression and driving impression of the Fiat Punto Evo.
