Fiat Punto Evo Launch Confirmed For 8th August
Italian car maker Fiat has been selling its products in India for a while now. They recently decided to refresh their current lineup and introduce a few new products in their portfolio as well. During the recent Auto Expo held in New Delhi, the manufacturer showcased its new products like the Avventura and Abarth.
Earlier in the year Fiat gave their Linea a much needed facelift and everyone was awaiting the news of the Punto facelift. We can confirm that the Italian manufacturer is introducing its 2014 Punto hatchback with a new name on the 8th of August, 2014 in Mumbai.
The 2014 refreshed Punto by Fiat will be re-christened as the ‘Punto Evo'. Many may wonder why Evo but frankly it is simple: the car has finally gone through an evolutionary phase. The hatchback now looks more Indian centric.

Fiat has made a conscious effort to retain the originality of its hatchback, while providing design changes. For instance the Fiat logo on Punto Evo is no longer on the grille, it has climbed up to the bonnet. The nose of the vehicle has been lifted up compared to the outgoing model.
The Punto Evo gets a lot of chrome embellishment around the grille and foglamps. In the rear too the Italian manufacturer has provided chrome accents to appeal to Indian buyers. The interiors have been spruced up and portray a more luxurious and sporty look within the cabin.

Under the hood of 2014 Punto Evo are the same engines with no changes mechanically. The Italian hatchback will be available in both petrol as well as diesel option. Fiat India will also offer different states of tune with their engines for different needs of buyers.
The Punto Evo will be launched in India by Fiat on 8th August, 2014 in Mumbai. When launched it will compete with the likes of Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Suzuki Swift and the soon to be launched Honda Jazz. We expect the Italian manufacturer to offer their top end variant at INR 7,50,000 to INR 8,00,000 ex-showroom.
