Fiat Isn't Happy Selling Their 500e
Italian car manufacturer's are passionate and love the vehicles they produce. They have manufactured iconic cars like the Fiat 500, Punto and Linea that sell in India. They will be launching new vehicles in the coming period. Their next new car is the Avventura, which looks spectacular.
The Fiat 500 sold in India has an electric version of itself too however, it won't be coming to India anytime. The Italian's actually don't want to sell the electric version of the car at all. They claim they are losing money instead of making money from the futuristic 500e.

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler has requested potential buyers to not purchase the Fiat 500e. He has has been brutally honest and has come out saying that every time an individual buys the Fiat 500e, the company loses INR 8,19,288 per vehicle. He expressed himself at a recent event held at Brookings Institute.
Marchionne also explained that Tesla is the only electric vehicle manufacturer that has been earning profits by selling their vehicles. Tesla sells the Model S which, is not the cheapest electric vehicle on offer in the market. The Italian believes if they start manufacturing a vehicle such as Tesla, they will have to declare bankruptcy for a second time.

Now you must be wondering if they did not want to sell an electric vehicle they should have not offered one in the first place. The Italian explains that there are certain international rules that force him to offer an electric vehicle. He also stated that Fiat will only sell the least amount of vehicles they have to and not anymore than that.
