Fiat Avventura Launch Planned Around October, 2014
Fiat India has just launched their Punto Evo at an attractive price. Now the attention turns to its earlier compact SUV, which looks more like a crossover compared to its recently launched hatchback. We are talking about the Avventura, which the Italian manufacturer showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi.
The design language of both the vehicles are similar, however, the Avventura is more spacious and sits higher above the ground. The concept showcased looked terrific and had minute attention to detail. The crossover will share several components with the Punto Evo to keep costs low.
The front end of Avventura looks more aggressive and the spare wheel outside adds a sporty element to the crossover. Fiat has intentionally designed its vehicle to look more sporty than its hatchback.

The Italian will provide its new Avventura in both petrol as well as diesel option. A 1.4-litre petrol engine will be available, along with a 1.3-litre diesel mill. It is the same engine that powers the Punto Evo. We expect Fiat to give its crossover a different state of engine tune.
The interior of Avventura will be borrowed from the Punto Evo, however, the Italian manufacturer plans to give it a more sporty and premium look. We expect Fiat to offer its crossover with the all black interior as standard.

Fiat is planning to launch its Avventura in the Indian market by October. When launched it will compete against Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. We expect the Italian to offer its crossover at an attractive price of INR 5,50,000 ex-showroom for the base model.
