Fiat Avventura Launch Confirmed For 21st October
Italian automobile giant Fiat has launched several new models in India this year. They began with a face lifted version of their Linea sedan and followed it with a refreshed version of the Punto, which has been re-christened as Punto Evo.
Fiat India had showcased a new concept at the recent 2014 Auto expo, which was held in New Delhi. The Italian manufacturer called this new concept its Avventura and they have finally confirmed its launch for 21st of October, 2014.
The new Avventura by Fiat looks like a crossover from its recently launched Punto Evo. The Italian manufacturer had earlier planned to launch this vehicle several months ago and had delayed it for some reason. The crossover has been highly anticipated in India by several Fiat fans.
The Italian manufacturer will provide its Avventura with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, which will produce 115 Nm of peak torque along with 90 bhp of maximum power. Fiat's crossover will be available with a 1.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine. It will be capable of generating 209 Nm of peak torque, along with 88.7 bhp of maximum power.
Both petrol and diesel engines in Fiat's Avventura will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The manufacturer will offer Active, Dynamic and Emotion trims in its diesel powered crossover. The petrol powered Avventura will be available only in base and top end variants.
The Avventura by Fiat will compete with Toyota's Etios Cross and Volkswagen's Polo Cross. Both the products have been launched earlier and have been well accepted by Indian customers. The Italian manufacturer claims its Avventura crossover will be priced attractively. Stay tuned for more details and specs, which will be revealed on 21st October, 2014.
