Italian manufacturer of luxury super cars Ferrari, knows how to celebrate anniversaries of their products. This time the manufacturer was celebrating its 60th year in North America. To mark the occasion they have launched a super limited edition F60 America model.
During the 1950s and 1960s Ferrari produced only made to order super cars and limited models. They recently announced they would continue this age old tradition to bring more exclusivity to their brand.
As part of their 60th anniversary in North America they are introducing just ten models of their F60 America. It combines two very important factors that make it must buy for Ferrari collectors. The first is a mammoth V12 mill, while the second factor is an open roof driving experience.
The super car sports a 6.3-litre V12 gasoline powered engine. It has been mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with an E-Diff. Ferrari F60 America can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h within 3.1 seconds, owing to 729.58 horsepower mill.
The roofless Ferrari F60 America sports two leather cladded roll-hoops, which is backed by a carbon-fibre flying buttresses. The super car also gets a light fabric top which, can be used unto speeds of 120 km/h. The Italian manufacturer showcased their new super limited edition model in Blue paint scheme with white racing stripe in the center.
Ferrari has intentionally produced only ten models of its F60 America, which have already been sold out. The super limited edition model costs a whopping USD 2.5 million sticker price. The cars are limited due to, back in 1967 Luigi Chinetti had requested Enzo Ferrari for ten vehicles of their 275 GTB4 model, specifically for his United States clientele.
