Civic Type-R Concept Teased Ahead Of Geneva Motor Show
Honda Civic is the sort of hot hatch which people love to modify to make it look sportier and add more power. Not because it lacks any of it, but because it can carry off modifications very well. It's in the very nature of the sporty hatchback.
Honda has now teased next-gen Civic that it will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in concept form. The teaser image previews the Civic Type-R concept from the rear end and for good reason.

The most noticeable and the best part of the concept has to be its massive rear spoiler that's integrated to the tail light section, covering almost the entire rear windshield of the car. The image also shows an aggressive looking rear diffuser with quad exhaust outlet.
The Civic Type-R concept is certainly a stunner.

While the present generation Civic Type-R is powered by a 2.0 liter engine producing 200 PS and 192 Nm of torque the new car is expected to get even more power (suspected to be over 300 PS). So, while the existing, 1338 kg hot hatch does 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, expect the next gen Civic Type-R to be that much faster.
The one part that's not expected to change is the 6 speed transmission that turns the front wheels. We await more images and official information.
