Chevrolet Compact SUV To Rival Ford EcoSport Headed To Auto Expo 2014
Chevrolet will become the latest automaker in the country to get into making sub-4 meter compact SUVs. According to reports, Chevy will showcase one such compact SUV at the Auto Expo 2014.
Naturally, the said crossover/compact SUV is primarily targeted at the Ford EcoSport, followed by Renault Duster. The vehicle will also go up against other similar sized SUVs from Suzuki & Honda when they are launched.

The Chevrolet compact SUV is likely to be based on GM's Gamma II platform, which is the base for several of the manufacturer's small vehicles such as the Chevrolet Beat, Aveo, Trax and in Europe, the Vauxhall Mokka.
One of the engines powering the vehicle will be the 77 HP, 1.3 liter diesel unit which also does duty in the Chevy Sail and Enjoy. It remains to be seen whether the automaker will bring the compact SUV in concept form or in a near production guise.
Apart from the compact SUV Chevrolet will also bring out the facelifted Beat to the Auto Expo, which will feature revised bumpers and new headlamps & tail lights.
