BMW Launch X5 Expedition In India
BMW India is a launch spree and post their recent launch of its 7-Series ActiveHybrid. They have launched an affordable variant of the X5 dubbed as Expedition. It will be available only as a five seater option and will cost INR 64,09,000 ex-showroom.
The X5 Expedition by BMW will be stripped version of the original model. It will several key features like the LED adaptive headlights. The German manufacturer will also not provide LED foglamps. It will provide a more humble nine speaker system by Harman, instead of the 16 it sports.

Owner's of the new Expedition will also not get BMWs satellite navigation system. The music system will not have a CD player, hard drive as well as the apps. Electric lumbar support will be omitted on both driver as well as passenger side.

Under the bonnet BMW will perform certain changes, like 8-speed Steptronic Sport Auto transmission will replaced by a normal Steptronic. The German manufacturer will continue providing the X5 Expedition with the same 3.0-litre engine. The diesel engine will produce 560 Nm of peak torque, along with 254 horsepower.

BMW will also omit the launch control from its X5 Expedition, along with the paddle shifters. The SUV will still be capable of hitting the 100 km/h mark from standstill in 6.9 seconds. The vehicle will continue delivering excellent fuel efficiency of 15 kpl according to the German manufacturer.

The X5 Expedition is a stripped down version of the regular model, however, the German manufacturer has not skipped on safety. BMW will provide their SUV with the same safety package they offer in their regular vehicles. The BMW X5 Expedition is an excellent buy at INR 64,09,000 ex-showroom.
