BMW i8 Deliveries in June 2014
BMW has showcased their i8 hybrid plug-in sports car. The German car manufacturer confirms they will start distributing BMW i8 to dealers by 2014 June.
The i8 hybrid plug-in will first emerge in European markets and will then be followed into other markets. Pre-booking for the same has commenced since 2013.
BMW has been developing their car and their engineers have improved fuel consumption as well as driver engagement.

The i8 hybrid will consume 2.1 litres for every 100 kilometres, this includes power from the electric motor.
The German car maker had earlier claimed a mixed fuel economy of 2.5 litres per 100 kilometres. Electric consumption of 11.9 kWh per 100km and CO2 emission of 49 g/km. The hybrid will go from naught to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
The i8 will come with BMW latest lighting solution, laser lights. They claim to be 30% more efficient than LED lights, they provide more illumination and have a range of 600 metres.

The laser headlights are similar to natural daylight, therefore they are easy on the eye. This will be the first time a production car will feature laser lights, BMW will offer it in Autumn of 2014.
BMW believes their i8 hybrid is almost 50% more fuel-efficient than normal sports cars available today. The low consumption figures are not only on paper and customers will experience it soon.
BMW will commence deliveries in June of 2014, so if you have booked one, your i8 is coming soon.
