Audi Unveils Their New A1 With New Petrol & Diesel Engines
German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi has been in the news recently for intruding several new products. They have now added two more models to their product range. These are the A1 and A1 Sportback, which will be ready to book from November itself.
Audi has confirmed that the deliveries of either vehicles will now be before spring of 2015. It is first being introduced in United Kingdom and will then offered to various markets. The German manufacturer has priced their A1 at INR 14,88,641 and A1 Sportback is priced at INR 20,93,190.
The manufacturer has provided both the A1 and A1 Sportback with cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. Audi have redesigned the front grille, headlamp and will introduce more choice of colours. It will also come with several safety features as standard fitment.
The major change to these vehicles are the engines that will power them. Audi will be providing a choice from two petrol engines and a single diesel mill.
- 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, which will be capable of producing a maximum power output of 95 bhp.
- 1.4-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine, which will produce a maximum of 90 bhp.
They will also be introducing more powerful engine options, however, these three-cylinder engines are the major change and will be the choice of most. Audi claim these engines to be frugal yet provide amazing driving experience.
Customers will have the option to choose form either a 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox. Audi will also offer an optional 7-speed S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmission. They will also provide several option packs that include improved upgrades.
