Audi To Invest 24 Billion Euros To Develop 10 New Models
Audi has announced plans to invest 24 billion Euros to develop 10 new models. The German luxury carmaker will invest this amount through 2019.
Audi has confirmed that nearly 70 percent of this huge investment will go towards developing new models and toward better technology.
The German carmaker will work towards launching new generation combustion engines that will be extremely economical and alternative efficiency technologies.
The carmaker is focused on bringing in hybrids and fuel-cell vehicles, which will go into production as soon as the market and infrastructure is justified.
Although the company has not revealed specific details, Audi is looking to launch 10 new models by the year 2020. There is a very high possibility that the German automaker could introduce new C and D segment cars, as well as new crossovers.
The other 30 percent of the investment will go towards developing better connectivity and driver assistance systems.
Although details are not very specific, Audi's Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm facilities will get a big inflow of cash.
