Is The Audi Q3 Feeling The Pressure From Benz GLA?
Audi, the second largest premium car maker in the world, is feeling the pressure after the launch of the new Mercedes-Benz GLA and the BMW X1.
Audi is looking to upgrade the entry-level SUV by introducing new technology features like cylinder deactivation feature.
The European launch of the new upgraded Q3 will be this coming Feb, while launch in other countries to follow soon after.
The new Q3 will receive upgrades for the exterior and the interior. The interiors could receive more standardised features in the upcoming model.
The main reason for this mid-life facelift is because of the competition the Q3 is facing from the already well established and leading carmaker BMW's X1 and fellow German competitor in the luxury car segment, Mercedes-Benz with the recently launched GLA.
The engine on the other hand will most likely be the same as offered now. The Q3 will be be powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine that produce 209 and 175 bhp respectively.
