Alfa Romeo To Use Ferrari Engines For New Products
Alfa Romeo has a present surprise for its fans and followers with their upcoming product line-up. Alfa Romeo is a part of Fiat group. Their current CEO Sergio Marchionne, has revealed that Ferrari would be involved with Alfa Romeo.
Ferrari will develop the engines to be used in Alfa Romeo cars. It was earlier reported that Maserati would provide rear powered vehicles transmission to Alfa Romeo vehicles. Their first venture was said to be with a new Giulia wagon. The new products were expected to revealed by next year.

This is a Fiat's initiative to keep alive the Italian Icons. It is their 12.3 billion US Dollars expenditure to get new product models along with maintaining European made products.
Fiat hasn't revealed particulars about their plan as it is not finalized. However, there are intentions to launch six new Alfa Romeo models, over a span of five years. Out of which two are expected to be SUV based models.
Alfa Romeo's best selling car the Mito and Giulietta, which attributed to almost 99% of their total sales last year, has a shaky future. They haven't confirmed if they will continue or upgrade these products. So their six cars would be totally new and if we include their 4C, it could mean an addition to the six car line-up, making it seven in all.

Alfa Romeo will produce a Quadrifoglio Verde, which will feature an engine specially engineered by Ferrari.
Fiat CEO, Marchionne expects sales of 300,000 vehicles per year, once the entire line-up of Alfa Romeo is ready. They plan to link Alfa Romeo with Jeep's global network to better sales and increase the brand awareness.
The plans by Marchionne will be confirmed at the Detroit Motor Show in May, where they will reveal their product strategy. A presentation will be presented by newly formed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.
