Affordable Hybrids Coming Soon To India By Maruti Suzuki
India's largest selling and manufacturing four wheeler Maruti Suzuki has an interesting portfolio for India. They will be soon introducing their premium sedan for India called ‘Ciaz'. The Japanese manufacturer is expected to launch its Ciaz prior to the festive season.
The Japanese automobile giant is thinking about the future and the sustainability of our environment. Maruti Suzuki makes a conscious effort of improving the fuel efficiency of their engines. They are constantly on the hunt to finding new and innovative ways for their future products.
Maruti Suzuki has a plan ready for the immediate future, they plan to introduce hybrid vehicles in India. However, knowing the Japanese manufacturer it is evident they will develop this vehicle keeping in mind mass production. Their goal is to provide an affordable hybrid options to India.
Our nation is vast and has an ever growing population, our fuel needs are also very high. The introduction of hybrid vehicles in India could decrease our fuel needs. It will also bring us closer to the future and in a way it would force other manufacturers to also get their hybrid vehicles to India soon.
The development could take some time and sourcing affordable components would take a while. Maruti Suzuki would definitely require three to four years before they could launch affordable hybrid cars in India. It is most likely the Japanese manufacturer would provide its Celerio, Swift and even Ciaz with hybrid options soon.
Maruti Suzuki has witnessed success with their automatic Celerio, which was earlier not accepted in India. However, today the hatchback has a long waiting, thanks to their affordable automatic small car. We wish the Japanese manufacturer could replicate the magic with their hybrid cars.
