3,000 Huracans Sold In 10 Months

By Rajkamal

It has been 10 months since Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini came up with their new model, the Huracan and the car has already managed to sell 3,000 units since.

A year ago, Lamborghini sold a record of 2,121 cars. In 2014 however, Lamborghini expects to reach the 3,600 mark due to the demand for the Huracan.

The company's COO Alessandro Farmeschi said, "In the Americas we worked together with our dealer partners to outline their launch outreach strategy from a new perspective. How to make their events and communications bold yet welcoming. As a result, we are watching a success story unfold.

"As the Huracán arrives in-market, consumers are anxiously waiting to experience this vehicle which is a direct result of these targeted events."

The Huracan is powered by a 5.2-liter, V10 engine that produces 602 hp. The car can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 325 km/h.

Mated to this massive power house is a seven speed dual-clutch transmission.

A very interesting feature of the Huracan is that it allows the driver to hold on to the left paddle shifter while braking. The car then automatically selects the best gear to propel the car out of the corner as quick as possible.
