2015 Skoda Yeti Launched In Australia
The Czech car manufacturer Skoda, part of Volkswagen group had recently showcased their 2015 Yeti. Now they have launched the SUV in Australia, with the base price of 23,490 AUD. The 2015 Yeti is expected soon in India and was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo held in Greater Noida, Delhi in February.
Skoda will provide their 2015 Yeti with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will produce 175 Nm of peak torque in their Active variant. The base variant will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, there will also be an optional dual clutch 7-speed gearbox. The automatic variant will be offered at 25,790 AUD.
The mid-spec 2015 Skoda Yeti will have front-wheel drive and will be powered by a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol mill, which will produce 200 Nm of peak torque. The Yeti will consume 6.8 litres of fuel for every 100 kilometres. The Ambition variant will be priced at 28,290 AUD.
Skoda's top variant will be offered in a 2.0-litre diesel engine, and will generate 350 Nm of peak torque. Buyers can opt for a manual or an automatic transmission. The manual will cost 35,690 AUD, while the automatic option will cost 37,990 AUD.
Skoda is expected to launch the 2015 Skoda Yeti in India soon the car starts at 23,490 AUD, which when converted in India comes to INR 13,14,210. If the Czech automobile manufacturer can maintain these prices the 2015, it could be a game changer for Skoda.
