2014 Skoda Yeti Facelift Launching In July
Skoda will be giving a long-awaited facelift to their Yeti SUV. The 2014 Yeti is slated for a July launch and will receive changes to the exterior and interior styling. The 2014 version of the Yeti was first showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi.
The Czech manufacturer will also be repositioning their vehicle as a crossover and not as a SUV, as they did with their earlier Yeti model. The 2014 Yeti will get an all-new butterfly inspired front grille. The bumpers and headlamps will be redesigned and will include LED Daytime Running Lights along with projectors. The fog lamps have been repositioned lower on the front bumper.

Skoda will provide the new Yeti with a brand new set of alloy wheels. The tail lamp will utilise LED lights and the Czech manufacturer has worked to give the rear a fresh and more modern outlook. It will sport a dual exhaust outlet, which looks sporty and is complemented with a silver-finish skid plate.
The 2014 Yeti's cabin will sport dual-zone air-conditioner, panoramic sunroof, individual folding seats, powered driver seat, optical parking assist and more. Skoda have introduced an all-new, 3-spoke steering wheel with audio controls mounted on it. The dials for the speedo and tachometer are huge and are clearly visible.

The Czech manufacturer will offer the 2014 Yeti with the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The urban crossover will be available in two different options. The first engine will be offered with 250 Nm of peak torque along with 110 horsepower. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and will power only the front wheels.
The second option of Skoda's 2014 Yeti will generate 140 horsepower along with 320 Nm of peak torque. It will power all four wheels and will sport a 6-speed manual gearbox. We also expect that Skoda could offer an automatic DSG for their 2014 Yeti.

We expect Skoda to price their 2014 Yeti slightly higher than the earlier-generation SUV. The current Yeti sells for INR 15,19,000(ex-showroom, Delhi). We will have to wait and see how the 2014 Yeti will be accepted by the Indian customer.
