Volvo V40 Cross Country T5 HPC By Heico Sportiv
Volvo has openly challenged three German performance cars, Audi S3 Sportback, BMW M125i xDrive and Mercedes A45 AMG with a special concept car built around the V40 Cross Country T5. The special car, created by Volvo's performance partner Heico Sportiv is capable of churning out 350 HP, along with full fledged racing hardware underneath the shell.
The best part about the V40 T5 HPC (High Performance Concept) is that it has been built right from the start to be road legal, despite being a concept. This means the Swedish automaker can bring out the high performance model to the market anytime they feel necessary. Here is what makes the Volvo V40 CC T5 HPC an AMG killer.

The car still uses the 2.5 liter turbocharged 5 cylinder unit, which normally produces 251 HP. Heico has taken the same powertrain and worked on the turbocharger, the exhaust system, the inter cooler and the air intake.

Post these upgrades, the 2.5 liter goes up to 316 HP.

However, the guys from Heico did not stop there. They further went on to add a water-ethanol injection system - activated manually by the driver by the press of a button - which provides a power boost, enabling it to reach the final power output .

The max power the V40 CC T5 HPC is capable of producing is 350 HP and a peak torque of 510 Nm.

The regular V40's automatic transmission has been retained as well, that delivers power to all four wheels.

Volvo V40 CC T5 HPC is capable of reaching 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Top speed is reached at 265 km/h.

Just like a full fledged race car, the V40 HPC gets Recaro racing seats, but these are made from leather. There is also the use of Alcantara, with green contrast stitching to go along with it.

Lastly, the high performance model is supported by racing hardware such as six piston sport brakes with larger discs, 19 inch alloy wheels covered with 235/35R19 ContiForceContact tyres and stiffer, lowered sports suspensions.
