Volkswagen Polo GT 1.2 TSI Launching On April 25th
Following several spy shots of the TSI petrol engine variant of VW Polo that appeared on the Internet it has now become pretty apparent the German automaker will soon launch the performance variant of its hatchback in India. According to latest reports that date could be April 25th.
Initially, the 1.6 liter Polo variant was the most powerful version of the hatchback, but following its discontinuation, petrol heads were left wanting for a performance model of the Polo. The Polo 1.2 liter TSI, with the GT badge will be that car.
The Polo GT 1.2 liter TSI, a model that is on offer in international markets, is said to deliver a maximum power output of 105 HP and a peak torque of 175 Nm @ just 1500 RPM. Meaning, the hot hatch will offer sporty performance right from the start. The power delivered is the same as the earlier 1.6 liter engine.
Furthermore, the TSI variant will reportedly come with a 7 speed DSG gearbox, sporty brushed metal pedals, larger alloy wheels, body kit and last but not the least, GT badges.
Expected price is about INR 6.5 lakhs or above. Stay tuned for updates.
