Tata Sumo Gold Gets Updated; Price Starts At Rs 5.93L
Tata Motors has launched the upgraded Sumo Gold which the automaker showcased at the HorizoNext event earlier this year. The new Sumo Gold comes powered by the 3.0 liter CR4 engine and starts at INR 5.93 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The improved engine produces 85 PS power at 3000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1000-2000 rpm. The vehicle comes with an ARAI certified mileage of 15.3 kmpl.

Tata claims the new Sumo Gold has improved cabin space that is 20 percent more than any other vehicle in its segment. It also boast of a first-in-class dual AC. The audio system also features USB and Bluetooth connectivity, though this is likely to be available only in the top end variants.
Tata also says it has softened the suspension on the Sumo Gold which, combined with improved NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) promises a more comfortable ride. The clutch used is a high performance unit with a life of 1 lakh kilometers.

The upgraded Tata Sumo Gold comes in four colours - Blazing Red, Twilight Grey Arctic Silver and Porcelain White and is available in 5 variants - GX, FX, EX, LX and CX.
Besides the improvements to the vehicle Tata Motors also offers an insurance for the car priced at Rs. 1 for three years/100,000 km. Also, a six month EMI holiday will be offered in selected regions.
