Suzuki SX4 Turns Crossover: Images And Details

We know the Suzuki SX4 in India as a capable sedan model, with a sporty and capable engine. But the Japanese automaker provides the SX4 in different form factors outside of India such as the SX4 crossover seen at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 2014 model year Suzuki SX4 Crossover showcased at the auto show is a major improvement over the outgoing model and will be available for the European Market. The SX4 Crossover certainly looks polished and just as capable as its sedan variant, which has the potential to be a hit if launched in India.

The 2014 Suzuki SX4 has jumped from the subcompact segment to the compact segment, which means it is significantly larger now.

The overall increase in dimensions has resulted in a larger boot space, which now has 430 liters of storage space as against 270 liters in the outgoing model.

Engine options provided will be a 1.6 liter petrol and a 1.6 liter diesel.

The petrol engine will be coupled to a five speed manual transmission, while the diesel engine will get a six speed manual. Continuously variable transmission (CVT) gearbox is available as an optional upgrade.

To be available in both front wheel and all wheel drive configurations, the 4X4 variant will also come with Suzuki's Allgrip technology, with four driving modes.

The 2014 SX4 Crossover will become available in Europe from later this year.
