Will Suzuki S-Cross Replace The SX4?

By Super

Suzuki, the Japanese carmaker which had showcased the S-Cross during last year's Paris Motor Show, is now ready with a production ready version. The S-Cross is a crossover with the size of a sedan along with the dynamics of an SUV.

Suzuki has said the S-Cross is aimed at the European market where it has enjoyed some success with the SX4 crossover. The S-Cross will be soon unveiled in its production avatar at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

Suzuki has made some S-Cross look more traditional. The front frill e is more Suzuki like and the LED lamps have moved slightly up closer to the headlamps. The Most noticeable aspect about the Suzuki S-Cross concept was its weird green colour. Suzuki has decided to retain the same colour even for the production version looking at the teaser image it released recently.

Suzuki is expected to offer the S-Cross with both petrol and diesel engines. We also expect a four wheel drive version too. Suzuki has said the S-Cross will handle like a Swift while offering huge luggage space. In fact Suzuki has said the S-Cross will have the largest luggage space in its class.

So, how important is the Suzuki S-Cross in the Indian perspective? We all know the SX4 has been struggling to compete against rivals in recent moths and badly needs a refresher. Even though, the S-Cross itself will not replace the SX4 in India, the refreshed new SX4 could get some inspiration from the S-Cross.

Here are some interesting images of the Suzuki S-Cross.
