Skoda Rapid Ultima India Launch In February
Skoda is set to bring the extensively facelifted Rapid sedan to India sometime during April 2014. To empty its inventory of the outgoing Rapid model the automaker will launch a special edition version of the same to attract potential buyers, in February 2014. The special edition model, to be called Skoda Rapid Ultima, has been caught behind the lens of ZigWheels, which has revealed it along with all the required details.

Skoda Rapid Ultima will be positioned as a top end model, above the Elegance trim, but will be powered by the same 1.6 liter TDI diesel engine that generates 105 PS power and 250 Nm of torque, while delivering 20.5 kmpl. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
The visual changes on the outside will be limited to decals, meant to make the sedan look sporty. As seen in the images, decals cover the sides, the roof and the bonnet, while an "Ultima" sticker is stuck on the boot lid, above the ‘Rapid' badge.
There's more to look forward to on the inside, with two tone leather covering the seats, a two tone dashboard with the top portion covered in a lighter shade and chequere themed center console trim. The Rapid Ultima will also get additional equipment in the form of rear parking sensors, reversing camera, Bluetooth telephony and automatic climate control.
Expected to come to showrooms in February 2014, the Skoda Rapid Ultima will cost over INR 10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be the last current generation Rapid before it's replaced by an all new model.
