Get Ready For Six New Skodas In 2013
The new Skoda Superb is expected to be launched in August 2013. The 2013 Skoda Superb will probably be the last face lift to the flag ship sedan and Skoda is planning to launch an all new Superb in a couple of years.
The Skoda Superb's launch will be preceded by the all new Octavia. The 2013 Octavia will be unveiled at the Geneva International Auto Show. The current Skoda Octavia is being sold as the Laura in India. It is yet unclear if the new Octavia will be launched as the new Laura in India.
Skoda's French division in a Facebook image had revealed the company's plans to launch six new cars in 2013 starting with the Octavia. The second and the third new Skoda cars to be launched this year will be variants of the new Octavia. First among the two will be the sporty vRS variant powered by a turbocharged diesel engine. The Octavia vRS is expected to be launched in India during the later half of this year.
The new Octavia vRS will be followed by the estate or station wagon named as the Octavia Combi. The 2013 Octavia Combi is being developed specifically for the European market where buyers prefer to buy station wagons over sedans.
Skoda is said to be planning to give a last breath of life to its ageing Fabia hatchback in 2013 too. The Fabia definitely needs a refresher. The new Fabia will be the last one to be built on the current platform. An all new next generation Fabia will be developed and launched in the coming years.
Last but not the least Skoda will be upgrading the Yeti SUV in late 2013. The upgraded Yeti will make its way to India only next year. This long list of new cars from Skoda is definitely a sign of Skoda pushing the limits to increase its sales. Lets wait and watch to see how many of these new Skoda cars will be launched here in India.
