New Skoda Fabia Launching In Second Half Of 2014
The 2014 version of the Skoda Fabia has been confirmed and will launch in India during the second half of 2014. The new Fabia will be launched first in Czech Republic, Skoda's home country, post which we'll see a global launch.
It is being reported that the 2014 Fabia will feature a wider and lower body design, unlike its present design, which is the exact opposite. This means the new Fabia will have more boot space, which will go up from the present 315 liters to 350 liters. Also, the car will come with a longer wheelbase to accommodate the increased interior space.

The engine powering the hatchback will be a 3 cylinder TDI diesel engine and a 1.2 liter petrol engine. Power from both engines will be 80 HP.
Other design changes will include a more aerodynamic body, more electronic driver aids and new and improved safety features such as new emergency brakes. While features such as new infotainment system with sat nav will be provided it is not clear whether the Indian spec will sport these.
Besides the redesigned Fabia reports say Skoda will also come out with an estate wagon version of the Fabia.
