Renault Duster Beats Scorpio, Is India's New No.1

Duster compact SUV is Renault's best selling model in India and has been doing extremely ever since its launch. Duster alone accounts for 80 percent of Renault sales in India, which alone explains Duster's success. Duster is doing particularly well in urban markets, where the number seems to be increasing exponentially, with even Scorpio owners changing loyalty.
In the month of April 6,300 people bought Renault Duster compact SUVs, while only 4,700 Scorpios were sold. Speaking about Duster's good performance in the country Renault India executive director, marketing and sales, Sumit Sawhney said, "The Duster is a very well accepted product in the market. This gives us the confidence for a better performance. We have made additions to the product which has helped us achieve incremental volumes."
If the ever increasing sales numbers and the new numero uno position in India were not enough proof of Duster's success, then the numerous awards won by the compact SUV would impress the fact further. Renault Duster is the winner of several Car of the Year/ Compact SUV awards in India, including the 2013 ICOTY award. Renault was even recognized for customer satisfaction with the TNS Voice of Customer awards.
So what's next for the Duster? It is said Renault's India partner Nissan is preparing to launch a rebadged version of the Duster to cash in on the Duster's immense success in the country.
