Range Rover Bags 10 Awards In Three Months
The 2013 model year Range Rover luxury SUV, launched in October 2012, has managed to win 10 prestigious international auto awards since production began three months ago.
Land Rover's 2013 model year Range Rover is the first SUV in the market to feature a body built completely from aluminium to save weight. Further contributing towards weight reduction is the monocoque design.

Following are the awards won by 2013 Range Rover:
AUTOBEST group: "TECHNOBEST 2012"
Autoweek: "Dreammachine"
What Car? : "Luxury Car of the Year"
Top Gear: "Luxury Car of the Year"
Auto Motor und Sport: "Best Car - Import Category"
The Sunday Times: Winner of ‘4X4 Caegory' in its "Top 100 Cars 2012" list.
Land Rover Global Brand Director, John Edwards, said: "We are proud of the recognition the Range Rover is receiving from international motoring organisations and publications. It is a fantastic achievement and a great endorsement for the model, which has only been in production for three months.
"Its revolutionary lightweight construction is the result of unprecedented investment in technology and engineering which makes it the most refined, most capable Range Rover ever. It is enormously satisfying to see that international judges, as well as customers, are recognising this too."
Built in the automaker's new low-energy Solihull plant the 2013 Range Rover has received tremendous response from both customers and critics. Land Rover has already launched the 2014 model year Range Rover as well, which will arrive in India by mid 2013.
