Porsche Panamera Turbo S Bookings In India Now On
Unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, the second generation Porsche Panamera was launched in India on October 9. Except for the top of the line Panamera Turbo S, which has now arrived.
Porsche India has started accepting booking for the most luxurious and the most powerful Panamera there is. Pricing has not been announced yet though.

The Panamera Turbo S is powered by the same 4.8 liter V8 engine as the Panamera Turbo. But the inclusion of two new turbochargers, with larger compressors, increased fuel injection pressure and more efficient combustion of air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber results in a final power output of 570 HP and peak torque of 800 Nm, which is 50 HP and 50 Nm more than the Panamera Turbo.
The engine is mated to a 7 speed PDK transmission and Porsche Traction Management (PTM), delivering power to all four wheels. The Panamera Turbo S is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 3.8 seconds, while top speed is reached at 310 km/h.

Even with the that level of performance Porsche claims a fuel economy figure of 9.8 kmpl for the Turbo S and a CO2 emission figure of 239 g/km.
The Turbo S comes loaded with a bevy of luxury and electronic features from Porsche including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with adaptive air suspension, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with electronically-controlled rear limited slip differential among others.
Luxury features include a full leather interior, Bose audio system, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, heated seats, Bi-Xenon headlights etc,.
The regular Porsche Panamera Turbo is priced at INR 1.99 crores. So the Turbo S should cost around INR 2.25 crores. The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S will be on display at Tokyo Motor Show starting next week.
