Porsche 911 Carrera S 50 Years Edition Announced
The first Porsche 911 sports coupe was revealed to the world in 1963 at the Frankfurt Auto Show. On its Golden Jubilee year Porsche has announced a 50 Years Edition 911 Carrera S to mark the occasion. Porsche 911 Carrera S 50 Years Edition will also be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September this year.
Porsche 911 50 Years Edition is based on the regular Carrera S, with visual highlights added, both on the outside and inside, along with a few performance upgrades. Only 1963 Porsche 911 50 Years Edition will be built. To go on sale in September, the price has been set at £92,257 or INR 79,84,760.

Power comes from the 395 HP, 3.8 liter flat six engine. This can either be mated to a seven speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic 'PDK' transmission.

The manual enables the special edition to reach 100 km/h in 4.5 sec, which comes down to 4.3 sec with the use of ‘PDK'. Top speed is approximately 300 km/h.

The special edition 911's wears the Carrera 4's body, which is 44 mm wider than the Carrera S at the rear.

Other special external features include a ‘911 50' badge on the rear lid, chrome window frames, ‘Fuchs' style 5 spoke 20 inch alloy wheels and SportDesign ORVM.

Porsche 911 50 Years Edition will be offered in two special colours - Graphite Grey and Geyser Grey metallic - and the regular black colour.

On moving inside you are greeted with a design reminiscent of original 911. The white needled instrument clusters, brushed aluminium center console and the fabric 1960s ‘tartan‘ design seat cover pattern, which can be configured in Agate Grey or Black designer stitching.

The ‘911 50' logo also features on the headrests, the rev counter and the sill plates, while the Porsche Exclusive wording is found on the door panels and gear lever.

Other features that are part of the package include 14 way electrically adjustable seats, a 4.6 inch infotainment system, climate control and bi-xenon headlights.

Lastly, performance upgrades include a sports exhaust system, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring with rear limited slip differential.
