Polaris India To Take Part In Mughal Rally
Polaris India, a regular in enduro motorsport events such as Raid the Himalayas and Desert Storm, will participate in the Mughal Rally for the first time. The 84 km stretch of the ‘Mughal Road' will be part of the 600 km long endurance race. Mughal Rally will consist of two separate races, the Xtreme and the Enduro. The Xtreme will be a Stage rally and the Enduro would be a Regularity test.
Mughal Rally 2013 will begin from 28th June and will go on till 30th June. Polaris India's Raj Singh Rathore will be seen riding the RZR S 800. The ATV is powered by a 760cc twin-cylinder engine that delivers 52HP. The engine, mounted at the rear, provides stability to the vehicle during high speed racing.

Polaris India to participate in the famed Mughal Rally for first time
Company has enrolled RZR S 800; Sharp handler with good rough-terrain stability in the rally
New Delhi June 24, 2013: For the first time in its history, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc., the world leader in off-road and All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) is participating in the much acclaimed Mughal Rally in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The event is an annual occurring and covers a distance of 600 km, passing through Mughal Road in Srinagar.
Polaris India will use its model RZR S 800 along with the company's ace rider Raj Singh Rathore to participate in the rally. RZR S 800 is specifically designed to take on off-road terrain. It has a 760cc twin-cylinder engine that puts out 52bhp. The engine is placed behind the passenger seat to give the vehicle a lower centre of gravity. This placement also makes the RZR S 800 a sharp handler with good rough-terrain stability.
Speaking about Polaris's participation in the Mughal Rally, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. Polaris is participating in this event for the first time, but is a regular participant in events such as Raid the Himalayas, Desert Storm and Dakshin Dare and has also emerged as a clear winner in most of these previous events.
Mughal Rally is scheduled from 28th June to 30th June and would include the 84 km stretch of the ‘Mughal Road'. Prior to the rally, on 27th June, documentation work and technical scrutiny of the vehicles will take place.
The rally will have two versions running concurrently - the Xtreme and the Enduro. The Xtreme will be a Stage rally and the Enduro would be a Regularity test. The winners of both rally will claim a prize of Rs. 2 lakh each.
