Man Buys Ferrari F12 Berlinetta So He Can Buy The LaFerrrai Later
A man buys a Ferrari worth nearly a million dollars just so that he will be able to buy an even more expensive Ferrari later. Makes no sense? Well, the man is not out of his mind. (though he certainly has a lot of money to spare).
The deal is this. It is common knowledge that for you to be able to buy a very expensive Ferrari the automaker itself should consider you worthy of owning the Prancing Horse. You will be approached personally, telling you are among the few chosen ones in the world.
So how exactly do you become worthy? Being a legendary Rock God helps. If not your only option is to own five Ferrari models (it is said) and pray you have spent enough of your fortune to elevate your status to be considered worthy.
It is this category our rich guy from Philippines falls into. This man has a few Ferrari cars already but the limited edition LaFerrari was the prize catch he is hoping to bag. Thus, to add lustre to his small Ferrari collection he went out and purchased a 730HP, V12 engined F12 Berlinetta supercar.
This was reportedly the first F12 Berlinetta which arrived in Philippines and cost him 32.9 million pesos or ~ $753,000. Now comes the hard part. Waiting. Hoping the marketing people at Maranello include him in the list containing the 499 names of people. The only ones who will ever own a brand new Ferrari LaFerrari hypercar.
