Peugeot RCZ R To Debut At Goodwood Festival
The most powerful production car from the French carmaker's stable, the Peugeot RCZ R, will make its production debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK on July 12th. Peugeot RCZ R concept made its world premier at the Paris Auto Show last year. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Goodwood Festival.
The RCZ R coupe will utilize the same powertrain with which the concept car made its first appearance. The sports car will be powered by a revamped 1.6 liter THP turbocharged inline-four petrol engine. The engine is capable of delivering 260 HP. With a power to engine capacity ratio of 160 HP/liter and CO2 emission level of 155 g/km, the RCZ R sets a new benchmark for sports cars. Peugeot RCZ R also sports a bespoke Torsen limited slip differential that manages power more efficiently.
However, we will not see the matte brown and gold RCZ R that we saw in Paris last year. Displayed will be two red RCZ Rs. Peugeot will also take part in the Festival of Speed weekend drive, with UK Peugeot 208 GTi Ambassador, Bradley Philpot - a finalist in the recent Nürburgring 24-hour race - behind the wheels.
