Nissan Terrano Variant Details Are Out; Bookings Begin

As scheduled by Nissan, bookings of Terrano SUV have officially begun. The compact SUV, a rebadged Duster, was unveiled last month and deliveries are set to begin in the first week of October. Nissan has now revealed the variant details of the Terrano on its website. For all those asking for a 4WD variant, the answer is sadly, no.

As expected, variants offered with the Terrano are similar to the Duster. However, there are just 7 instead of the 8 as with the Duster. The base petrol Duster trim looks like the one that will not appear in the Terrano lineup. Also as expected, throughout the variants (right from the base trim) the Terrano gets better features and equipments as compared to the Duster. This will justify its premium pricing relative to Duster, expected to be a premium of ~ Rs. 50,000.

1.5 liter K9K turbo diesel engine

Delivers 85 PS power and 200 Nm torque (5 speed manual transmission)
Delivers 110 PS power and 248 Nm torque (6 speed manual transmission)
Available in 6 variants - XE, XL, XL (6-Speed), XL Plus, XV (6-Speed) and XV Premium (6-Speed)

1.5 liter petrol engine

Deliver 104 PS power and 140 Nm torque
Only variant available is XL (placed above XE diesel and XL diesel trims) with the 5 speed manual transmission.

XE Diesel (Base trim)

Comes with driver airbag, front and rear power windows and multi-information display.

XL Diesel

ABS+EBD+BA, 2 DIN Audio system with CD/MP3, USB and Bluetooth functionalities. piano black front console finish and front fog lamp.

XL Petrol

Same as diesel XL trim. i.e ABS+EBD+BA, piano black finish for the front console, front fog lamp and audio system with with CD/MP3, USB and Bluetooth support.
