Nissan Recalls 22,188 Sunny And Micra In India

nissan recall
Nissan has issued recalls for its Sunny four door saloon and Micra hatchback in India. The recall is a part of its global recall that affected units from Africa, Europe and some other countries in Asia, with 67,089 vehicles falling under it.

The defective components in both the Sunny and Micra are the master brake cylinder. The function of the master brake cylinder is to convert the pressure applied via the brake pedal to hydraulic pressure and distribute it equally among all four brake units.

22,188 units in India are reportedly affected by the faulty master brake cylinder. Nissan has issued an official statement saying it will send individual notifications to owners of affected cars. Nissan is working with its dealers to have all the defective parts replaced free of cost.

This is Nissan's first ever recall in India, but the automaker's prompt customer service should prevent any negative publicity and rather cement a positive image in customers minds. The Japanese automaker is working towards improving its customer service by opening new showrooms and service facilities across India. In the coming months cars to be expected from the Nissan stable include a facelifted Micra, a compact version of the Duster and the celebrated revival of the Datsun brand.
