Nissan & Mitsubishi Collaborate To Develop New Car
Nissan and Mitsubishi, both Japanese automobile manufacturers have come out with a new minivan product, which has been jointly developed by them. The collaboration is a result of a deal signed in 2010 under which the two companies had agreed to jointly develop several new models over the years.
The newly unveiled model will be manufactured by both the manufacturers in their own versions. Nissan's version will be called Dayz, while Mitsubishi will call it eK. Again, both versions will be available in two trims - Dayz and Dayz Highway Star from Nissan and eK Wagon and eK Custom from Mitsubishi.

Jointly developing new models has several benefits including shared resources and expertise, which results in lower development costs. This minivan is just the first of the many models that will come out. Next year will see the companies launch a taller minivan.
No further details about the minivan is currently available. However, the new car will only be launched in Japan, with no current plans of being launched overseas.
