Nissan Recalls Micras With Faulty Steering Wheels

Micra compact hatchback units built in the UK and Japan between 2002 and 2006 and Cube hatchbacks also built during the same period in Japan fall under this recall. The problem is a steering wheel bolt that may not have been tightened properly.
Countries affected by this recall include Japan, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. India does not fall into it since the Micra had not yet been introduced then.
Nissan will fix the problem by either tightening the bolt or by replacing the steering wheel. The automaker said no accidents has occurred due to the loose bolt. Nissan spokesperson has said to repair each vehicle would take 40 minutes and will be done free of cost.
