Nissan Micra Diesel XE Base Trim Launched Priced At Rs. 5.57 Lakhs
Nissan launched the brand new Micra hatchback in July with a premium set of features and a modern look. The automaker also kept the outgoing generation, turning it into a new, low cost model called Micra Active, after giving it some cosmetic changes.
The least expensive Micra diesel variant available until now was XL diesel trim, priced at INR 5.99 lakhs. Micra Active meanwhile, is only offered in petrol variants, the base XE trim being INR 3.50 lakhs. Since this left a large gap for a diesel Micra variant Nissan has now introduced it, but subtracting a few from the Micra XL diesel.

The new Micra XE Diesel is priced at INR 5.57 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) For this price you get the following features:
- Chrome Plated Radiator Grille
- Tilt Steering
- Drive computer
- Driver Airbag
- Other Standard Safety Features - Immobilizer, Driver Seat Belt Warning Indicator,
- Door Ajar Warning Indicator, Low Fuel Level Warning Indicator, Headlight on
- Warning Indicator, Key Remove Warning Indicator etc.
The features that go missing are front and rear power windows, audio system, steering mounted controls among others.
