Nissan India To Launch 5 New Cars in 2013
Japanese carmaker Nissan is planning to launch as many as five new cars in India this year. Nissan which has had a successful year in terms of sales following the launch of the Sunny sedan in diesel, has not followed it with more models that captured the imagination of car buyers. So it has decided to look at improved new products in 2013 to gain a larger market share.
In fact Nissan India is planning to achieve an overall market share of 10% in India within a few years. Nissan's new cars will be ranging from an entry level small car to a new SUV. Nissan is also working on launching its low cost car brand Datsun in India. The first Datsun car could be unveiled by late 2013 with a possible launch in Early 2014.
The following are the five new cars that Nissan India is planning to launch in 2013.

Nissan Micra Automatic
Nissan will be fitting the five speed CVT gearbox in to the Micra and launch it in a few months. The CVT gearbox has already been used in the Renault Scala X-Tronic.

Nissan Sunny Automatic
Everyone were surprised when Renault India managed to launch the Scala sedan's automatic version. Nissan will be launching the Sunny Automatic also during the first quarter of 2013.

Renault Duster Based SUV
Nissan will be launching the rebadged version of the Renault Duster soon. Nissan has said it would be making some changes to the exterior design to suit its design philosophy. Nissan is expecting this SUV to follow the successful path of the Duster.

Low Cost Micra
Nissan is working an a new entry level variant of the Micra which will have less premium features. This Micra is expected to be cheaper than the current entry level variant by as much as Rs.55,000.

New Datsun Car
Nissan is expected to unveil or even launch Datsun's first car made for India by the end of this year. Nissan is working on the development of a new low cost car that is expected to take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eon.
