Nissan's Duster Clone Images Leaked
Nissan is using the BO platform that it jointly developed with Renault to build its new SUV. The images show that it has not tinkered much with the basic shape and design of the Duster. Nissan's Duster clone appears to be very close to completion and expect a launch within the next two months.
Nissan India would not like to delay the Duster clone's launch considering the huge success the Renault Duster has turned out to be. Nissan India had previously stated that it will be launching several new cars in India this year which will include anew SUV. The new Nissan SUV is obviously the Duster clone.
Renault India was criticised for building exact replicas of Nissan's cars when it launched the Pulse (Micra clone ) and Scala (Sunny clone). Nissan seems to have considered this criticism and appears to have made quite a few design changes to the front and the rear. There are new headlights, new bumper and a new grille in the Duster clone.
Looking in to the rear design, the wide wheel arches and wide body squat have bee retained from the Duster. The technical aspects of Nissan's Duster clone have not been revealed. But we expect to see 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine as well as the 1.6-litre MPFI petrol engine. We also expect Nissan to keep the price of its SUV lower than that of the Duster.
